Can we take your photo?
We need to know what's OK with you. Tick the boxes that feel right.
Why we ask
Sometimes we want to take photos of the group. We use them to:
- Remember what we did together.
- Show other people what the program is like.
- Share with funders so they keep funding the program.
We will not share any photo without asking first. You can change your mind at any time.
Your name
What's OK with you
You can tick none, some, or all.
Whatever you don't tick — we won't do. If you want to talk it through, ask a facilitator or your support worker.

You can change your mind.
If you want to take back permission later, just tell us. Call (08) 8953 1422 or email peersupport@das.org.au. We will stop using the photos straight away.
The big topics we will look at.
Our 8 sessions. We tick each one off as we go.
We are at Session 1.
Today is Thursday 14 May 2026. The next session is Thursday 28 May 2026 — Session 2 — What is a Leader + All About Me.
What is a PATH plan?
PATH stands for four words. Each letter is a step.
What is a PATH plan?
A PATH plan is a way of working out:
- Where you want to go in your life.
- What is going on for you right now.
- Who can help you get there.
- What small steps you can take.
Who does the plan?
You do — with the people who back you up.
Family. Friends. Support workers. People you work with. Anyone you choose. DAS facilitators help. We ask the questions and write down what you say. The plan is yours.
What does it look like? When?
What it is
- A big colourful map on paper.
- With words and pictures.
- You take it home to keep.
When you do it
- After our 8 sessions together.
- We book a day for you and your team.
- Just one day. One plan. Yours.
What will I do in the leadership group?
A look at what to expect over the 8 sessions.
Four big things
Every session we will
- Meet on a Thursday from 11:00 to 1:00. Every two weeks.
- Have morning tea and lunch together.
- Look at one big topic.
- Talk, draw, write, and listen.
- Take it home if you want — a handout each session.
You are a leader from day one.
This is not a class. You are not a student. You bring what you know. We bring what we know. We learn from each other.
You can use the traffic light cards anytime.
Green = yes. Yellow = slow down. Red = stop. No questions asked.
Green. Yellow. Red.
A way to say yes, no, or unsure — without using words.
GREEN
Yes. I agree. Keep going.
YELLOW
I am not sure. Slow down. Ask me again.
RED
No. Stop. I do not agree.
When do I use them?
You don't have to explain why.
The card is enough. No questions asked.
When do facilitators use them?
We will use the cards in check-ins.
"Are we OK to keep going?" or "Was the break long enough?" If anyone holds up red — we stop and ask. No judgement.
Who do you look up to?
Something to bring to our next session.
The big question
Who is someone you look up to?
It can be anyone. A family member. A friend. A footy player. An Elder. A teacher. Someone famous. Someone you've never met.
Bring one of these
Next session
Thursday 28 May 2026 · 11:00 to 1:00.
Akaltye Room, Desert Knowledge Australia. The topic is What is a Leader. We will share who we look up to, and we will work out what makes a good leader.
If you forget
That's OK.
We can talk about it on the day. No pressure. Just have a think this week.
